Timing belt kit for the 1994 Camry 3.0 V6

I have about 70000 on my camry, and I think its time to change my timing belt. Does anyone know how much a timing belt replacement cost with installation? Is it better for me to buy the timing belt kit and then bring it to a mechanic? Any help is appreciated.

depends kinda where your getting it done. A belt normally costs $20-$25 maybe in the $35-40 at toyota. Not 100% sure.

You just dont change the timing belts. Well you can just change the belt but normally its more done then that. Since your belt is off now you have access to a lot of parts that can go bad in the future like water pumps and other things. Might as well change them now and save on labor. Because say you get the belt done now. And your water pumps breaks in 15k miles. Now you need to come back around remove the best and change the pump which is just paying more money. Get 2 or more birds killed with 1 stone :P
