95 Camry DX stock speakers info

I've been looking for info about the RMS watts of the stock speakers in my 95 Camry DX but haven't had any luck. It doesn't have premium sound and just has a factory AM/FM cassette deck. Does anyone have any idea about the RMS watts on these things?

My brother wants to replace the current factory cassette deck with another toyota factory deck that has a CD player. He just doesn't want to spend the money to upgrade all the speakers, which I told him he'll have to do if he puts in a brand new cd player.

If I replace the stock cassette deck with a deck with a Toyota CD player that fits from a similar generation car, I should be ok, right? I don't want to blow the speakers. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Tony

you'll be fine - i ran an aftermarket cd player for a bit with stock speakers before i switched to clarion

the car also had the factory cd player in it, and i doubt the speakers would be different from yours

welcome to TN!

Just blow them with a new player. My 94 had the premium sound system and the speakers still had weak foam cones. They're garbage, use them until you can save up enough to buy some new ones.
