I am looking at a set of 18x8.5 rims. I have 17x7's right now. I am wondering if the rims will rub and if the rims will sit flush with the fender or will they stick out (what I don't want). Also, what size tire should I get? Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure but the sales person at the shop said that they will fit, but you know how that goes. What offset would make this 18x8.5 set up work? And what size tire?
18x8 will fit pretty much for sure with the right offset...but for 18x8.5...it'll be questionable for the rear.....but you may be able to do it with thinner tires....
but again....find out the actual offset

you can go deepdish with the right offset on 8" wide (or less) wheels :P
or just get a different type/polish/whatever lip to the wheel

Well ya'll, thanks for the responses. I was curious if 18 X 8.5 would fit because the guy in the shop was saying that they could but I wasn't buying it. I ended up buying 18 X 7.5 Ruff Racing 278's. And for everyone that's interested, I'm trying to go all around with my ride, not just looks or performance. I'm mixing it all up. Thanks.
