You should either cut it a bit, or use a smaller diameter...like 2.75" or maybe even 2.5"

GEN4 CAI, anyone made one?

i have a i4 gen 4. i made a cai. i first used some flexible heat duct but i didnt like it. it wasnt sturdy enuff. so after search all of the midwest US i found a suburb in chicago that was willing to sell me 3" intake pipe. at any rate the hole behind the battery is big enuff for a 3" pipr but you have to take off your bumper and fender. one suggestion is to use a 3" ruber elboe, that can be found at any hardware store

The V6 Gen4 intake pipe diameter is just 2.5"... why would you need a 3" pipe?
