Lightbulb just a thought for gen3's

would it be possible to for a gen3 owner to get a pair of gen3.5 headlights, and a gen3.5 grill and then just pop them onto a gen3? if i had a gen3 id do this to my car, cause i dont like the gen3 headlights and grill insert, but i love he way the 3.5 looks. anyone know for sure??? seems like it should work that way, but im not certain.

just a thought that i came across while looking at some pics of someones gen3, maybe one of you guys can do this "mod"

the gen 3.5 has a small lip under the grille...

the headlights and grille fit on a gen 3, but there's a small space under the grille left...

also, a 3.5 could use gen 3 headlights, but not the grille, unless the small lip was cut off...

So, a Gen 3 to 3.5 sex change would entail lights, bumper and grill. For some reason, I remember hood too.

The rear tail is a different trunk lid and tail lights. Some say the interior is the same.

Engine swaps (V6) entail almost the entire engine bay.

Not cheap.

I think all the hard points for mounting everything is the same though so it can be done.

^^I agree. The Gen. 3 headlights/grill look much more aggressive than the 3.5.

not hood... just lights, grille and bumper, bumper can be worked around if you make a custom grille.

I like the gen 3 headlights way better than the 3.5 I don't like the curvyness of the 3.5 headlights.

Cool

Same deal with the gen1-2 ES 300. Looks the same, but nothing will swap easily.
