Ratko man idk where you found all this but damn... and thank you!

I always wondered why the steep drop in RPM's on the 1-2 shift on my 5-speed... now I know why... damn. Seriously it knocks you back from redline to 4k.

But I digress- thank you thank you thank you

it "recommends" 91 octane or better for optimum performance but it really won't hurt the engine to use regular...i used regular for about a year and a half and just switch to premium recently and have gotten a little better gas mileage and better performance....but it's ur money :D

I own a '96 Camry V6 LE sedan and have found this info very useful; thank you! I always put 87 octane in mine and have not had any problems with it. I fully filled it up with 91 octane a couple of times, but didn't notice much of a difference.

1996 Camry 2.2L blown engine info needed

Hi,

I have a 1996 2.2 automatic that i just purchased with a blown engine, and I'm looking for more information on replacing it.

!) Any available online service manuals available?

2) I understand the 96 engines are (or CAN be) different from other years of this generation...something to do with a wire coming out of the timing cover leading to the alternator. The older engines can be used, but you might need to replace oil pump and timing cover??? Please help elaborate on this issue.

3) How difficult is it to replace these motors? Any specific tips or threads anyone can share would be great (search function doesn't see to br getting me any results)!!!

4) Also, what's the best place for replacing door handles?

Thanks in advance.
