Question wiper blades gen 3

well this is a stupid question. but i need help i just got some new wiper blades and i cant take off them oem blades theres a clip there to push but i did push it and yank it in every different way and still cant come off. thanks can you please help

I presume you have the OEM blades which you want to remove. If you look underside of blade, you will notice the push clip. Push this clip and yank the wiper blade towards the bottom of the windshield (ie down towards base of the wiper arm. It may be just rust or a snug fit but it will release with some force. Once off, you will need to rotate the blade somewhat to get it off the arm. Tip: once you release the wiper blade off the arm, just remember how you rotate the blade before you take it off so the replacement blade becomes easier to put on...

A mechanic actually pointed out to me that it's bad to use those double bladed wipers. He said the extra blade puts more of a strain on the motor and it'll wear it out quicker. So obvious, but never really thought about it.

^he's right. As well, try to stay away from those wiper springs that force your wiper against the glass. That'll have the same effect and wear out your motor faster.
