Red face Toyota Camry 1993 V4 short circuit problem

I have a Toyota Camry LE 1993 4 cylinder ...short circuit problem. Wile driving today at a stop light the engine stopped working.I thought the coil went out so i changed both the coil and distributor cap, spark plug wires. Triyed to start engine again but ...it started run for about 3 min and stopped. Then i chacked the fuse box under front hood...and found fuse "AM2" burnd out....have change it but each time i try to start the engine that fuse "AM2" will burn...i have changed it several times and got same problem... Anyone encoutered a similar problem... a idea or little help will be great appreciated...
Thank you
Marius

You're likely running into a wiring issue (grounding most likely) somewhere in the circuit.

Just so you know, unless you've swapped in a motorcycle engine, this is an inline 4 cylinder, not a v4.

The neutral sw/ runs off AM1. AM2 supplies the coil and igniter. It also works with the EFI, but there are smaller fuses in that system that should blow before AM2. I would look for a short in the coil/igniter circuit first. You may have got a bad replacement coil.

I realize you are a noob, and you don't have to follow our advice, but when you totally ignore it and come back for more, it is very hard to understand why I should bother.
