Hello,
I have a 1998 Camry LE. I need to replace the wiper blades on it. I don't have the owner's manual. So, can anyone tell me which type/size wiper blades do I need? Also, are they easy to insert as I have never done this on my own before.

Bosch wiper blades: driver side 21'' , passenger side 19'' and yes they r easy to install

yeah same as my gen 3. just go to the auto store tell them... 1998 camry le 2.2L

Also, should I buy just the refills or the complete blades? When does one know that the complete blades need replacing?

I'm a cheap bastard and usually just get refills.

I wouldn't get new complete blades unless it was seized and wasn't following the contour of the glass.

Refills from dealer are like $5 each.

Or you can get new blades from Autozone for about $10 each. The Bocsh (sp?) ones I have right now are non-refillable though.

If you want the blades to last really long, you can get two sets of baldes and have one set for the hot season and have one set set aside for the rainy season. My Bocsh (sp?) are out baking in the sun and turned all hard after about 3 months.

refils, replacemnts all are good....but if I catch a camry with BLADEZ on them.....I will kill the driver....lol

Yeah. Bottom of passanger side.

Why get wal mart refills when toyota dealers sells them for 3-4$ in TX?
About the same price as wally world and the toyota blades will sit nicely

i use silicone wiper blades i bought from walmart 3yrs ago and they still work great. why spend money on something you'll need to replace when you can buy something that might outlast your car?

you all loves you some Wallyworld. Meijers, autozone, etc have them. Get more expensive ones as you do get what you pay for. Getting cheap windshield wipers are like getting cheap brakes. Sounds like a deal until you need the extra performance. Using rain x on your front windshield will also cause your wipers to crack faster. 21 and 19 are right, psssst there is a guide by them in the store that has it in there, don't tell anyone though.

Just put rain-x all over your windshield. Who need winshield wipers when you got rain-x?

Revived this thread becauase I need some new wiiper blades for my gen 4.

So is Bosch like the best quality brand for blades? How about Anco?

What brand yields good resuls in terms of streak free wiping and durability?
