Replacement OEM Factory alarm remote for 1999 Camry, how to program for the car?
Hey, I have a replacement OEM alarm remote for a 99 camry, curious how I can go about programming the remote myself. The dealership wants 90 bucks to do it, and I know I have found VFAQ's online on how to perform it on the 2000-2002 models, but I'm curious how to perform it on a '99. Thanks for any help you can give.
go to the top of the page and use the search function in the forums. Jus tsearch alarm programming. There will be several that will probably pertain to your particular vehicle. I would post links but here were several of them to choose from.

I searched, and searched. I came up with a few replies that seemed promising, one for a 1998 LE, however searching for the keyless entry module within the cabin, I found nothing. Any idea where to look for this module? This is on a 2.2L 1999 Camry.
What does the remote look like? Did you buy your car used? If you did it may have come from a gulf coast state, I have one, those things are kinda weird to program. Does it have a little red push button on the left side of the dash?
Thats waaaay more complicated than i think it should be, on my 97 i had the stealership program me 2 new remotes just like the ones you described (we just bought a sienna from them so i didnt pay anything) anyway, i watched the guy do it and all he did was push a small button on the alarm box under the drivers seat and hit the lock/ unlock button on the remote. Im not sure about the number of times he hit each button, but im almost 100% positive he didnt so any of that 5x lock/ unlock cycling.
i tried the procedure, the lock/unlock 5x... many times, but it didn't work on my '99 camry. right now, im still hoping somebody would just have another procedure in programming this remote.
