4th Generation Gen1 Solara Eibach on Gen4.5 camry?

Hi guys,

I have been looking to lower my car and I know that Eibach Pro-Kit and Tein are one of the best springs out there. I prefer TEIN as it lower the front more than the back, but I saw this guy selling SOLARA Eibach kit for $80.

My question is, will the Eibach kit fit the camry?

I noticed that the part # is different,
drop is different for solara (based on info I got off ebay)

Part # Description Prokit/Sportline Drop F Drop R
8249.140 97-01 CAMRY PROKIT 1.2" 1.2"
8258.140 99-03 SOLARA PROKIT 1.6" 1.6"

Will it fit?
Anybody who have installed it?
How is the ride?
Fender gap on the Front and back?

Thanks.

I believe that it should fit, but the its going to drop you more than 1.6". Also keep this in mind: greylock (a poster on this forum) installed Solara springs in his Gen 5.5 Camry. But two of the coils are touching at the bottom (too compacted) and they rub each other at slow speeds. I'm not sure if the Gen 1 Solara springs will be similar or not if you installed them on your Gen 4.5. But, they SHOULD fit.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Phi's got solara eibach's on his camry!
I've got camry trd (rebranded eibach's) on my solara!

They all fit! from other threads i think the top of the fender to ground was 26 1/4 inches.

As mentioned by jhbhatia, Solara springs fit on Camrys without any problems. The only complaint that some ppl have is that Eibachs give the impression that the drop is uneven with the front gap being a bit bigger. Otherwise, you're fine.

btw-I have a '99 Camry.
