4th Generation 97 Camry Remote Starter wire colors DIY

Just installed one in my 97 , figured the info might be helpful.



+12 Volts = White or Black @ Ignition Harness
Ignition = Black/Red @ Ignition Harness
Accessory = Black/Yellow @ Ignition Harness
Starter = Red @ Ignition Harness

Tach = Black/Orange @ Instrument Cluster or Behind Glove Box @ ECM

Lock = Blue/White (mine was Light or Dark Green) @ Behind Drivers Kick Panel
Unlock = Blue (mine was Light or Dark Green) @ Behind Drivers Kick Panel

Doorpin = Red/White @ Fuseblock
Disarm = Red/Green @ Behind Drivers kick panel (If you have a factory alarm)

Brakeswitch = Green/White @ Brake pedal switch
Parklights = Green/Orange (mine was green) @ Fuseblock

>>> ALWAYS USE A GOOD MULITMETER TO TEST WIRES <<<<

Unless you have a "computer safe" testlight... don't use one.
Stay away from brightly colored wire loom, usually means an airbag wire

Solder all connections

Your car may have different color wires than stated above.

Ok Techrat, I will take you up on your offer. I am planning to install a CrimeGuard 850i3 with Remotte Start and your help will be greatly appreciated. I have a Gen 3 95 Camry LE. I have all the specs and all.......you would not believe the prep i have put in so far......

Where to start....I have done most of the research.....
