4th Generation Programming Keyless remote for 2000 CE

Hey everyone,

frm my name.. u can tell that i have a 2000 Cam CE..
i was wondering.. does anyone know if the CE model comes the the necessary equipment already installed for a keyless remote to work?

So.. would i just have to buy the remote and program it for the car? or do i need additional equipment??

Also.. i found the programming sequence for a 2000 LE Cam... would it be the same sequence for a CE?

thanx for the help...

I am pretty sure that the keyless entry module is not included with the CE. It is a separate unit that plugs into ECU.

most people would suggest other brands. viper or other types.

if you want to go with toyota, check out ebay. it's about $80 for a remote system which includes shock sensor (glass breakage system).

You can install it yourself or take it to a store.
Installation is not too complicated for a stock system cos you camry should have all the wires ready. I assume that you have central locking in place already.

Here is the instructions for programming a camry 2000 LE
