3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Well he changed the bumper and everything i just wanted to know is it possiable to just jam this thing in with slight modifications i know if you change the entire front end it will fit.
I'm going to try it my self.......I don't see why it would not work. You don't have to change the fenders or hood, I'm not to sure that you don't have to change the bumper. Try it out and let us know.....I would get the 01 corners also to match the headlights.
I have been on the board a long time and the more and more we yell at people to use the search function....the more they ask questions that can be searched for. You are just spending as much time tell them to search as you can type a simple answer. As for the lights fitting on a 98....all the search says is NO you can't without a lot of body work....but if you look at the guy who just did the 01 front end conversion...all he changed out was the front bumper..... not the hood ...not the fenders, just the BUMPER, and he had to notch somthing out on the radiator support. So again I say if you have already bought the lights try and put them in. The bumpers are not that different and I don't see why it would not work......So spread your wings and fly!
Actually he got corner lights, headlights, bumper & absorber.... not just the bumper... and the gen 4 stock holes does not bolt on exactly.
Without the corner lights, the headlight will not be flush and will stick out considerably. The bumper is needed because I myself have tried to go that route and it is not going to fit. You will need to do a lot of cutting on the bumper and even that, you will still need to cut a bigger hole where it gets bolted on.
All I'm saying is if you're gonna do something might as well do it right the first time.
