installing remote keyless system on camry le 2001

hello,

i would like to install a remote keyless entry system on camry le 2001. the toyota dealer that i purchased the certified car told me that it would be 700/- for the remote keyless entry WITH the security. they DO NOT do without the security. i just need the remote keyless entry. not the security.

could anyone please let me know what would be the cost of it. and also, if possible, a place that would do it. (pep-boys would not do it.)

Check with some local stereo shops.

You can get a basic alarm (Viper 350HV) installed for around $200. Thats the alarm and installation for $200.

No idea what just a keyless entry would cost. Most people have alarms installed which include a keyless entry feature.
