4th Generation Aftermarket Brembos on Gen 4?

I was looking on Ebay for coil overs and I came across the Brembo cross-drilled rotors. I know that slotted rotors are only good for hard core racing and I dont want them. I just want to know if paying $115 for 2 rotors and some ceramic pads would benefit my brakes that much.

the biggest thing i noticed with the brembo/ceramic combo is decreased brake dust and smoother stopping. however, my old rotors were warped so that explains the smooth stopping issue.

i have the cross-drilled rotors only because i got them as part of my christmas present last year. if it was my money i would have gotten the brembo blanks cuz their cheaper.

there are so many threads in this and other forums about if they are better or not. Personally I have Brembo blanks, just because I don't need to go from 120 to 0 in whatever amount of feet and they were really cheap from Nopi.com . But either one would be fine for daily driving. You would still have better stopping power. I hear that cross drilled eat up pads faster, not sure if that is while autocrossing or daily driving. I do know that slotted and cross drilled help when the road is wet, but you should be driving careful anyways. I have also heard of cracking and warping with cross drilled, but yet to see pics of a reputable brand having these issues.

Cadmium powerslots would be my first choice. The resist rust much better than other brands. But you pay for it.

I've read that sloted rotors basically resurface your bads everytime you brake.. that's why they eat through pads so fast. I'm not sure if this is 100% true but I have heard from numerous people that sloted rotors eat through pads

Cross drilled rotors are supposedly good for cooling your brakes.. but a friend of mine that works on Porche cars says they aren't that great a rotor either because he says the spaces between the holes starts to crack after 1-2 races on a road course on their cars.

I have cross drilled Brembos on my '93 Accord and love them. If I were keeping my Camry I'd get the same for it

Do a search, there was a long thread about slotted/corss drilled and regular.
I was once a fan of cross drilled but with all the basing that i got on TN, i think i would put a regular blank on my car if i would to change it.

Cross drill will crack and often, companies like www.tirerack.com will not give lifetime warranty or their regular warranty of the cross drilled.

But the COOL factor is sure there for cross drilled rotors

I've had a set of x-drilled rotors on my car for over 2 years now and no cracking yet. I went through a set of Hawk performance pads and a lot of hard hard driving. I just recently threw some stock Toyota pads on until i can buy a new set of rotors/pads and they still work great. The only reason i bought x-drilled rotors was because of weight. I dont think i have ever seen any proof that they run cooler or stop any better than regular rotors.
