The TRD SC is a very good mod, puts a stock tC at about 200WHP, and is covered by a Toyota warranty. Toyota would not offer a FAT warranty on something if they knew it would "stress out my engine block and diminish it's life expectancy and durability."
On another note, Road & Track recently reviewed the SC tC and published some numbers:
0-60 6.9
0-100 17.1
1/4mile 15.1 @ 94mph
Keep in mind, these guys took the test car out and just ran once or twice to come up with these numbers. There have already been several people who have ran stock SC cars in the 14s with some practice and getting used to the behavior of these cars.
And finally, the TRD SC has a huge upside. The vortech SC is capable of reaching 20psi levels without running into problems. Slap on an overdrive pulley from NST,
