Gen 5 Transmission Fluid

I am at about 30k and I want to flush my tranny fluid with new fluid. I was curious as to which type of fluid to use (since the owner's manual doesn't indicate)?

Thanks.

And should I change the filter as well?

Thanks again.

Out Previa had 270K miles before the tranny was flushed, Camry @ 170K. Current Camry @ 100K is still good. Don't do it.

Drain and refill you should be ok. If you really want to flush, you can do it through the radiator hoses. Don't use the machines.

DEXTRON III IS PROBABLY NOT BE THE CORRECT FLUID!!! I was talking with the dealership the other day and they said that they have had Gen 5 camrys come in with transmission problems....why? becuase STUPID JIFFY LUBE SOLD THEM A TRANNY FLUSH WITH DEXTRON III!! It tore their tranny to shreds (said the dealer). Take the other people's advice and check the dipstick. I think it uses the Toyota T4 fluid (expensive and low maintence). Never needs to be flushed. If the owners manual says to change it, I would otherwise no.
