5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i have been shopping around at E-Bay for Rims. some good deals there. i have a question. most of the sellers list their fitment for the rims they are offering. for example:
my question is: what exactly is the fitment for a 2005 camry base model? what is the proper fitment, bolt pattern, and offset for the gen 5.5 camry? thanks mates. as you can see, i am still the noob on this topic. appreciate your kind help.

The bolt pattern for our Camry's is 5x114.3. Gen 3 and up have this bolt pattern. Gen 1 and 2 have 5x100. As far as offset, the stock offset for a Gen 5 and 5.5 is 50. So if you get anything less than that, you're fine. My Lexus IS300 wheels are 17x7 with 50 offset, and I have 215/50R17 tires... and thats the largest that you can have with that offset and width.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

As always, you are the main man!. thanks dude. i really appreciate the short cuts handed out here. i saw some lexus IS300 rims, lol. dirt cheap on e-bay, but kind of funny to put on a camry...lol. now that i have this info think i shall hop back over there and make a deal. i also saw some BSA rims real good price tag, new out the box. big selections... do your lexus rims have the lexus logo on them? can you also put on 17x7.5?

Yeah, I was originally going to take off the Lexus emblems and throw on some Toyota center caps, but I decided to just keep it for two reasons: (1) in the end, they really are Lexus rims, so why not keep the emblem? and (2) i haven't received any negative backlash from it, and its not like I'm trying to make the Camry look like a Lexus, otherwise I'd have changed the rear emblem too
EDIT: 17x7.5 will fit fine, but you'd probably have to get your tires at 205 width IF the offset is 50... if the offset is like 43 or so, then you're fine with wider tires.

Thanks, man I paid $300 for the rims (ebay, and it was local pickup ) and $600 for the tires, which included the tires, valve stems, balancing, and mounting.
