Am I the only one who dislikes this "drive by wire" deal? My slow speed operation, transition from speed to slow back to speed is awful and unpredictable at best. Surely this isn't the way these cars are supposed to operate? Is there a fix.... or a recall...or a modification pending?

there are 2 tsb's which dont do anything to help. the ecu is just too slow (yes, slow just like a 486 pc is slow)

even if they program a better routine, its not gonna make any difference (and it doesnt) if the ecu cant calculate quick enough.

thre is a cure, but its probably too much effort for most ppl, and you may as well get a stick shift (override the shifting solenoids).

ohhh.. i want an Intel processor in my ECU grrrr. is there any way that a car could run off of a laptop? if that would be possible.....computer lag would be major problem haha.
