Oil Filter Part Number - 2006 4Cyl Camry?

Anyone know the correct Oil Filter Part Number for a 2006 4Cyl Camry?

The first one I bought at the dealer was PN 90915-YZZF1

The second one they sold me is PN 90915-YZZF2. It is the same diameter as the first one, but it is about 1" shorter.

Any help would be appriciated.

The recomended oil filter for the '06 Camry 4 cyl is the taller one.

Toyota only has two sizes of oil filters for 4 cylinder engines. They are the same thread and diameter, but one is about 1/2" to 1" taller.

You can get filters elsewhere also:
NAPA 1396
Wix 51936
Purolator L14477 or PL14477

When in doubt go for the bigger filter. My brother has a Celica and the turbo Celica uses the bigger filter, but will work on the non-turbo as well, according to the service person. The filter will last longer and give better filtration. I friend of mine has a 2002 Passat which is prone to sludge problems, one of things to help prevent the sludge problem, recommended by Volkswagen was to go for a bigger filter.

Any way, my point is, go for the bigger filter when in doubt.

I was hoping someone on the forum had access to a Toyota parts manual and could look up the correct oil filter part number for my 2006 4-cyl. I would like to get the correct one, whether it is bigger or smaller.

Yes, I read it. I did not see a Toyota part number in your post.

I'm not interested in aftermarket oil filters, but thanks for your response.

88 LE,

Thanks for the info & link. Looks like he gave me the filters for a 2.2L not a 2.4L. I will take them back for the correct parts.
