Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hey everybody! This is my first post so here it goes.
I have a new baby boy and need a bigger car. I have sold my 02 Civic SI myself so I am looking at a new camry. My wife has a 05 maxima se and we really love it. About the XLE V6, I was quoated a price of 28,099 loaded with nav and push button start. I think this is a great deal but I have never delt with toyota. I have no idea how they discount there cars.
NOt much discount normally. They dont have to discount them like others do considering they are the number one selling car in the US. You can probably get it to around 500 over invoice is what it seems most people can work out.

It's tough to get a good price for a new car, especially if this is the first model of the GEN6.
Usually dealers that in remote areas can sell it for a little cheaper, that's been my experience anyway. You might save 100-200 bucks, but not that much.
for that price you can buy a 2003 Lexus ES300. just think, no depreciation...lol.
There is still depreciation on used cars. Surprisingly it is higher than waht some people think especially on premium brands. Granted you get a lower price on the car but if he were to try and trade it in in the first year or so of owning it he would get hit pretty hard.

To the people that have 07 camrys, what did you pay?
I paid 28912 + 19 = 28931 ($19 for MD temp. license plate...)
07 V6 XLE + Smart key + Nav 2 weeks ago....
I still need to pay for the 5% WV tax, title, and new plate in DMV........
About 1600 more to go......

I'm looking at these now. The MSRP for the V6 2007 XLE is approx $27,250 right? I remember seeing a post where someone got an '07 for $500 over invoice.
Btw, I was quoted 28,100 for an 07 V6 XLE with smart key, no nav. Sticker was about $29,899. It was the last day of March in the afternoon.

ilovecatbus,
Did you get yours at a Fitzgerald dealership? Fitz quoted $800 over invoice. Was yours a Japan built or Georgetown?
