i still haven't read anything on why VSC is so bad to get with the V6. I'm looking for an SE V6 with VSC because of the messed up jersey winters. someone point me to something that makes VSC such a negative?

EDIT: Okay, i read through that thread. There is talk that the new production models starting in april appear to have any transmission problems fixed. aside from that, why would vsc affect the "fun" factor of the v6?

The car with VSC would be good in winter and bad weather conditions to help with the controll of the car. But any time the car wheels may start to spin the VSC seems to stop the acceleration of the motor for a second. This is not fun when driving the back roads seeing what the car can do or at the track. It losses the fun factor.

That would be the traction control, not the VSC. The VSC is to sense and couteract the car going in a direction other than intended.

Furthermore, you can use the Lexus procedure to disable the traction control. I have done it and it works like a charm.

Also, I read for the Lexus, the sequence doesn't work for everyone. You said disabling traction control on the 2007 Camry works for you. What exactly did you do? Thanks.
It is reset to normal (engaged/enabled) upon a restart of the engine. The rpocedure that I followed is a combination of brake pedal and e-brake pushing that I found by Googling "Lexus VSC disable"
