I would love to make one of these work on my Avalon...

Two D612D4's run off a D61000.1 w/ a 1.2 farad cap, in custom fiberglass sealed enclosures.
Soon to come: Tinted windows. K&N intake kit. High-flow exhaust. And a set of 20's (maybe 18's). http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2155533
Yeah but who would buy it on top of the SEV6 camry that starts around $24K?
People would buy it, but would it worth it for toyota to do all the research and development? Probably not. I'm sure they could put the hundreds of thousands of dollars into another project which would yield more benefit to them as a company.
Most people are going to be satisfied with almost 300 hp. Are there any other nearly 300 hp toyotas for which toyota makes a supercharger? No. TFrom what I can tell they seem to make them for the underpowered cars or trucks.
The extra power wouldn't help at lower speeds, like 0-50mph. But it would definitely be fun from second gear on. Imagine, you widen the fenders a little, throw on some 10 inch 20's with some good rubber. Regular 20's would still be fun, you would just have to pay more attention to throttle. In either case; from a stop, you give about 3/4 gas. As soon as your rides shifts to second you floor it. oo baby!
