Go to your dealer and have one ordered. They may be hesitant because they prefer to sell the cars they have on the lot. I know this because my friend wanted a SLE V6 Solora without leather seats and asked them to order one. 1 week later he got it, but we found out it was the same car, they just swiched the seats out.

IMO the japanese simply work harder then american workers. They put in overtime if they f*ed up and don't ask for overtime pay. For example, if the fenders don't line up, they stay overnight to make it line up. They work for the success of the company and not themselves. In fact hundreds of workers die every year in japan because they put in 18 hour days for months. This is due inpart because of the japanese mindset, that they themselves are nothing without the group. Kamikazes did what they did because this thinking. I don't think americans would do this, we are too individualistic. My thesis in college was on japanese business culture.

Those would be the Japan-built cars....

Yes your correct but majority of the Japan made Camry's are here in Hawaii. My cousin-in-law is a manager at a Hawaii Toyota Dealership. He told me all the camry's are made in Japan, for here in Hawaii. But unlike the mainland Toyota Dealerships (California, Washington, prettymuch everywhere else in the US are made locally) their camry's are made locally. All the Camry's here in Hawaii are made in Japan, except for the 2007 V6 SE Camry, which is made in factory in California. I have a 2006 V6 SE Camry, and was thinking of getting the 2007 V6 SE Camry but found out that just that model is built in the US. I'm happy with my 2006, just waiting for all the bugs to come out of the 2007 model. Good luck in finding a Japanese made Camry if your not living in Hawaii.

Yeah, i noticed that the se v6s i've seen all appear to be the american made ones. however, what i have noticed is that the stickers on the cars indicate that the transmission is from japan. don't know if that would make any difference. the 07 se v6 i have my eye on has a vin that starts with the number 4. i feel confident though that it will be as superb and reliable as my corolla and rav4 were. come to think of it, i believe my corolla was "american" made and it was the most trustworthy vehicle I have ever driven. I hope i can say the same about my new SE V6.
