2004 Camry SE V6 clean slate

Hi guys! New Camry owner here and I have some questions.

I just bought a 2004 Camry SE V6 and so far I love it. I bought the car from a family member with 40K highway miles and meticulously maintained.

So, what can I do with this thing?

First, is there anything that can be done about the tranny and it's wierd shift points?

Second, any relatively simple mods I can do to get a bit more kick in it? I have ordered a K&N filter but was wondering if there is an intake that will fit and how much difference it will make.

How about exhaust, any recommendations?

I'm not a kid and have no desire to make the car a ricer, I'd just like to maximize it's potential as a killer fun family car.

Thanks for any advice!

for exhaust go with flowmaster they are always a good choice...for intake the injen short ram intake fits on your model car...for hp with those 2 mods you aren't going to get much out of it at ALL maybe 3-5 hp...but that being said, it will sound a hell of a lot meaner

K&n

Thanks Weasel.

How about the K&N Filter, is it worthwhile? I have heard mixed reviews on them. Some swear by them and others claim they let fine dirt through and are bad for the engine.

Thoughts?

I have heard that changing the exhaust can actually rob the car of torque, is this true?

K&N flat filter, u wont feel the difference. but you know that you car is getting cleaner air compare to stock filter

for exhaust, why not get the TRD Exhaust? sounds very nice and they weigh so much lighter than the stock exhaust (about 1/2 the size).

Buy these Door Sills:

Or get this LEDs Tail Light:

HAVE FUN shopping
