5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I went to Don Valley North Toyota in Markham for the quote. They said it should be available in July / August, but they don't really know. I told them I wanted the LIP spoiler, and not the big wing spoiler shown on page 16 of the Cdn brochure.
I have a feeling they quoted me for the big WING spoiler. Also, on the toyota.ca website, it has the rear spoiler listed under assessory for >Cdn$500.
I've seen a 07 Camry here in Edmonton with the big wing spoiler so I imagine that should be available now. I think the rear lip spoiler looks so much better. Anyways, I always thought the rear lip spoiler was only available as an accessory for US models so I thought it was interesting you got a quote for one.
I wound up buying OEM lip spoiler from Deland Toyota on EBay.
$185 delivered.
Deland was cheaper than my friend's bodyshop could get it for with his discount.
The shop will do the install.
Deland has two more on Ebay with 3.5 hours left to bid.
Had one installed on my XLE at the dealership today. It adds a lot of character to the car. I couldn't be happier with it. Though now my car is screaming for some new wheels.
With the lip spoiler installed, does the trunk still pop open when using the button to open trunk? My trunk pops open about half way when I use this feature. I'm wondering if you would have to adjust the tension bars on the trunk?

My SE just pops open only a few inches. I think you're right something needs to be adjusted.

Not bad looking...
Start with my Chrome tip...that came in as well...I like it..
This Spoiler cost me $190.00 for the part & $24.00 to install. Not bad. the chrome tip cost me $48.00..no install charge.
How did you get the spoiler for $190.00 from the dealer? I thought it cost $295.00.

He cut me a deal....it was $264.00 list price plus $25.00 install charge. I paid $190.00 and $24.00...The Service Manager seems to like me.
That's a great price.
$25 install by a dealer isa fantastic price..
I just got mine delivered yesterday and will be installed today by a firiend who does bodywork.
I'm not too comfortable drilling holes in the trunk.
I like the fact it only pops a few inches. The way rain doesn't get in. On my Park Ave the truck opens all the way and it is easy to hit the button while the keys are in my pocket. I have come outside to find my trunk open and wet...

Ranger is a Welsh Cardigan Corgi. These are very very smart dogs. One of the oldest breeds out there. ( They are not cheap either...we got ours at Michigan State University...he is a control dog in their Vet classes) They are "herders". Bred to nip at the hoofs of cattle and sheep to get them moving. If they get kicked then they roll over and get back up and nip at them again. Very stout little guys... I have to remind myself when playing rough with my friends's dogs so I don't play with them too hard. Ranger can take a beating...he is a real fun little guy to play with.
Oh...and he likes to challenge me all the time as to who is the Alfa Dog...Subborn little shit...

Yeah I am going to be installing the spoiler and someone referred me to this link. Looks good. I about fell off my chair when I saw the post about your Ranger being a cat or a donkey!
