Looking to buy an XLE V6 with at least nav. I've searched the forum but can't figure out how to go about getting the best deal. I thought I saw somewhere that dealers or salespersons can't be named on this forum. Can the information be pm'd to me?
Be nice and ask the sale manager to show you the inventory log (showing their invoices) and stick with the invoice or give some lack (couple hundreds) for limited models like SE V6, etc.
I purchased an 07 Titanium Metallic XLE V6 with Nav, Smart Key, and Remote start yesterday for 28,500 before tax and license. Approx 31,156 out the door.

Know what model options and color you want.
Email or fax every dealer within 50 miles asking for the best price on that vehicle and tell them how you plan to pay for it.
With a cash deal, you s/b able to buy it for $300 over dealer invoice, that is the Kbb or edmunds invoice +$400-500 for Toyota advertising fee.
Converse by email, go pick it up and be gone in 15 minutes.
or you can waste hours in a salesman's sweat shop and pay more.
Costco prices were not out when I bought mine 6 weeks ago but the Costco dealer said no way could he match $300 over invoice.
It doesn't hurt to get a Costco price from the participating dealers. It can come to a few hundred to a thousand dollars over invoice. It is a starting point if you are a negotiator or a reasonable price if you hate to negotiate. Or you can print out the Edmunds invoice price as a starting point. There are regional add ons like in the SE where the distributor rips off advertising fees from the dealers which they pass on to you.
My price was about $1000 over invoice, about $1200 under MSRP. I am sure you can do better if you negotiate but I am bad at quibbling...
Good luck!
Got my LE in early October. Titanium V6 with leather, package D, and window tint for 25k. Sticker was 27,131 plus tint. They had to order it and it came in about 6 weeks. I'm in Gulf States region so they also have to figure in the advertising fees. They did the window tinting for free so I don't know the value of it, but otherwise it was 2131 under sticker. I figured it was a good deal. Purely internet deal with no haggle. One other dealer groaned when I asked if he could meet or beat.
