07 Camry SE grille in LE?

Will the SE grille fit in the LE? I just ordered an 07 LE and like the looks of the SE grille and was wondering if the 2 are interchangeable?

I expect they should be. Go open any 07 Camry hood, and look behind the front grille. You should see a veritable forest of clips around the actual "grille" part of the grille. I expect that you would just undo a screw or two, pop out all of those clips, and remove that grille. Then you should be able to install any grille you like by popping it in there, securing the clips, and screwing the screw or two back together. Should be a piece of cake!

He doesn't like the body kit? The LE is a bit cheaper? He wants to retain the fold down rear seats? There are a lot of good reasons.

The SE's rear seats still fold down. It's the XLE that has the reclining rear seats.

I prefer the LE over the SE for several personal reasons, especially the bisque interior of the LE. But I think I may like the SE grille. I need to see a White SE to make up my mind. I am also curious as to what the cost would be to buy just the SE grille.

I have asked this question at a Toyota dealership in Toronto, they said of course it fits. The grille itself is around $250 CAD, which nowadays translates to $228 USD

Also the RIDE is softer. Yes some of us value that. hehe My LE is getting a rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tip, side moldings, and I added nice rims, mud flaps. It will look SE "Like". I want to add Fog lights to it and also see if I can get that "door" for the cubby between the gear shift and the arm rest. I might have to buy the whole cubby I suppose.

The fold down seats are a nice feature when you have a family to cart around. Adding a SE grill?...why not.

I was debating trying to justify the rationale a while back about getting an LE then customizing it and personally I felt it was pretty stupid. The cost of an LE in my area isnt that far of from an SE. By the time I were to spend all the money it would take to pimp my LE I would have spent more than if I had just gotten as SE in the first place with all of the things I wanted and then some. Ergo, it seemed rather stupid to buy an LE and customize it. And in terms of ride quality, I've driven the 07 XLE and SE and there wasn't a huge difference in the smoothness of the ride IMO.

I hear ya Lunar...When I bought my LE there were no SEs or XLEs on the lot. There was an XLE that I would have bought that came in one week later of course. However, for me I got 2K off the sticker on my LE and I could not walk away from that deal. It had most of what I wanted originaly anyways...

Tweaking out a LE is not all that expensive....not for me anyways. I am not paying list for my add ons since the Service Dept screwed up my last Service Appoinment...hehe I live for that stuff....

Camralon is right -- there's a structural brace back there to ultra-stiffen the SE's body. This sacrifices the fold down feature.

There a guy on here that installed the SE grill on the LE. Don't remember where I read it. Try searching.

You pics of the mud guard. I have yet to see a 07 Camry with one. I dont want t get one and it looks stupid from behind. Please post a pic. I also asked the dealer about the SE grille for the LE and he said you will have to buy a custom kit. Does anybody know where to buy one?

Thanks
