5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have talked to a few dealers on the 2007 Camry LE V6 and have recieved MSRP only quotes. I just bought a new BMW last year at $1,500 over invoice and cant imagine that cant be done on a lower priced Camry.
Anyone have success in getting a 2007 Camry at $1,500 over invoice?
If I find that price I am buying the car same day!
I think most people are getting them for well under 1500 above invoice. I got mine in central Wisconsin for about 1000 over invoice--I maybe could have gotten a better deal, but I didn't want to shop around.

Email/Fax all the Dealer Internet Managers in your area. Tell them exactly what options/color/inerior you want and ask them for their best price. You'll probably get a 60% response and prices from 40% of them.
I had 4 quotes of $300-600 over dealer invoice (Edmunds/kbb invoice + regional advertising cost of $400-550). Made all the arragements by email, went to p/u the car and was gone in 15 minutes. No hassle with add-ons, extended warranty, coatings, etc.. This was in the Seattle area, 6 weeks ago when they first came out.
You might also check Costco pricing or Edmunds Prices Paid Forum for deals in your area.
Here was what I did when purchasing my LE V6: sending emails to all around dealers except the most reputable one. Only a third replied with quotes around 500-1000 over dealer's invoice (kbb.com's invoice + TDA fee of $300). Came to the most reputable dealer with the lowest quote and told the sale manager to beat that. I bought mine at dealer's invoice.
Lots of ways to get best deal so just stick with what you like.
look on fitzmall.com, sort by invoice price and scroll and page until you get to a basic LE V-6 or use edmunds.com or kbb.com and then add $300-550 for dealer advertising fee.
I am finding up here in Michigan/Lansing they are selling them at best $500.00 under sticker. They are getting that too. Myself I paid 2K under Sticker....I am the only one that got that deal because my other order was taking way too long.

Residual and money factor have to do with leasing. Residual is based on model, engine, etc so it varies but will stay the same between dealerships (in your area). Money factor is another way of calculating interest rate. Go to leaseguide.com if you're really interested in learning more about leasing. My friend is getting a 07 SE I4 for 22,300. Go to edmunds.com, carmax.com, autos.msn.com and kbb.com to see how much you should pay. Let us know if anymore questions. Jon.
Comparison: Purchased a 2007 Camry V6 base LE (no moonroof, no JBL radio, no alloy wheels) for $23,700 out the door in California. Tax was 7.75%, then around $400-500 for docs, title, license, and some other fee. I remember the salesman stated it was only a couple hundred above invoice.
This was towards the end of April so I believe one can do better now due to increased inventory.
I called my dealer and was told that I could have an '07 V6 SE for invoice. This has more to do with the fact that my family has bought six new and used Toyotas from the dealership in the past 4 years, five of them in the past 2 years. I consistently get a great deal, and it's an easy process.
Kings Toyota in Cincinnati. They're supposedly the 6th largest Toyota dealer in the USA, and I've heard more than one person talk about how they go onto the lot, drive the car, get into the buying frame of mind, and they just go straight to invoice. I would imagine they'll be the same with the '07s for everyone before too long.
They're not a happy, family like place with balloons and free coke and Hotdogs on Saturday afternoon. They just sell cars, and lots of them.
Right now, they're advertising a lease special on an LE.. $279/mo 36 months, 36,000 miles, $0 due at signing. According to their website, they have 21 '07's in stock. Sorry if that sounded like an advertisement, I just know you'll get a good deal there if you're anywhere within driving distance of Cincinnati. www.kingstoyotascion.com
