Canada 2007 SE Sport Pedals missing

Am I the only one who has an 4cyl automatic SE that does NOT have the Aluminum/rubber sport pedals?

my 2007 SE came with normal black pedals. The Dealership say that there was a campain/recall and then the replacements were also recalled. Does not know when the new pedals are coming in.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Also is the dealer installed sport pedals for the 2007 Camry identical to the SE's sport pedals. I'm looking at other 2007 SE in the dealers lots and the all seem to have the advertised pedal.

Why me?

I took possession of a 4 cylinder SE with C package 4 weeks ago and it only has the black pedals. I can only think that Toyota ran out of the sport pedals and the Canadian SEs got shorted.

Have you seen them on other 4 cylinder SEs or just V6?

Ok, I just checked the Canadian 07 Camry Brochure and sure enough both the 4 and the 6 bangers have the "aluminum sport pedals w/ rubber inserts" as standard equipment.

Thanks for bringing this up.

My understanding is that the pedals used for the CAD models had issues with the adhesive, adn they were recalled. I would assume they will replace them with the screw on type, but you never know.

Just picked up my SE V6 and NO sport pedals! The salesperson said that they will check into it. The large sticker on the window says that they are included.

I feel better knowing that I am not alone in this.
I hope Toyota will make this right.

I'm just wondering why US SE pedal would be any different that CDN export units. We Canadians seem to get really screwed on option choices (nil) and price and now sport pedals.

I test drove an SE I4 manual with sport pedals.
So I don't think it is just for V6's.
I guess Toyota has the right to change whatever they want...

They are supposed to be Standard on the SE V6! Our SE V6 did NOT come with them. I am not loosing any sleep about them but when I take the car in for the first service, I will let them know that I expect them to be installed at that time.
