Question 2007 Camry Question

Hi everyone...I'm new to the forum, so please forgive me if this question has already been asked (tried using the search, but couldnt find anything). I'm interested in buying an 07 Camry LE, but I want to have the bluetooth audio system so I can use my cell phone wirelessly. Is this option available on the LE? I'm getting mixed answers to that question...according to the Toyota website/brochure, it says that the JBL 6-disc in dash CD player with Bluetooth technology is available as an option, but one of my local dealers told me that it is only available on the XLE. My second question is that if you can have the bluetooth audio system in the LE, does that change the configuration of the steering wheel if you add that option? I know on the SE and XLE, there are cell phone controls on the right side of the steering wheel...I just want to make sure I can get those on the LE as well. I LOVE the new Camry, but just want to make sure I'm getting the right model with all the features, etc. I want. Thanks for all the help!

You will probably end up getting a "Special Order" for it. the dealer doesn't want to mess with it. They would rather sell you a XLE and be done with it. That is more standard on the XLE.

So you can probably "order" it...but expect it to take awhile....I was having that problem when I first started out with Toyota and was wanting a Corolla with all the trimmings...That was ending up as a Special Order and taking months....so I went for a Camry on the Lot....
I had a new car in less then 4 hours... I also should note that I got a good deal on the LE Camry over the Corolla. They (The Dealership) didn't want to lose my business so they delt on the Camry.

Use that bit of info when you are dealing with them....you might find a XLE NOT fully loaded but loaded enough that they would rather cut you a "skinny deal" over seeing you leave the dealership.

Make good on that too....let them know that you might as well look elsewhere....(Be WILLING to walk away)....then they will deal with you...more so on your terms...hehe

The JBL audio adds bluetooth connectivity. It also adds a send and end button on the left side of the LE steering wheel. You might have to check if your phone is compatible. I remember the compatibility issue being discussed on the edmunds forum.

with Bluetooth audio

without

Hope this helps

Almost every V6 LE around here is ordered with the JBL stereo. I have used my Razr with the stereo and it works pretty well--with the windows down or the sunroof open though, my wife said it's sort of hard to hear me unless I talk loudly, which is fine with me :-) Here's a pic of my LE V6 steering wheel.

Good point njerald....

It does matter what "region" you are purchasing the car in. Up in Lansing, Mi I do not see that on the LE trim...I see that on the SE & XLE trims.
