Hmmm. Shows how screwy we are with priorities.
You couldn't freaking
SELL a V6 to me -- just more money to pay more money on gas and maintenance over the years, all to get a shorter range on the long highway trips.
Time and time and time again, both with my 2007 I4 Camry and my trade-in 2004 I4 Honda Accord coupe, I've had more than plenty --
MORE THAN PLENTY -- of power to zip out whenever needed, to pass on the open road, to zip up the freeway onramps, to leap into a gap in traffic.
MORE THAN PLENTY. So, it just absolutely boggles my mind as I wonder, "What the heck do you guys
DO with all that extra power??" "Street racing??" "Fast and Furious drifting??" "Burning rubber out of every green light, trying to make it to 80 MPH before you hit the next red light??"
On the other hand, a quick price check shows that my I4 XLE costs about as much as a V6 LE with the moonroof, JBL stereo, and VSC. Boy, I'll take the I4 XLE with the leather and the multi-information display and the boatload of other XLE goodies over a V6 LE, any minute of any day!
Anyway, no offense meant to anyone, just tossing a different perspective onto the pile!
