Camry 2007 Aux Input

Just to let you know guys, that after almost a month with my XLE, I found yesterday the AUX Input, I know, I know, it's in the Manual, but I'm the kind of guy that only refers to a manual when needed.

I have seen the AUX option in the Audio System but never saw the input, yesterday I was looking for somethings that I put in that BOX since the day I got it, and when I saw that I was like, WTF...

Well, to tell you the truth, the IPOD sounds just great, I'm really happy that I found it.

BTW, if you are interested to get an AUX cable to hook to your Car, just be sure you have that option and look for the seller desiadri on Ebay there is a listing running on there right now.

Have you found the secret cubby-hole that you run the wires through, or have I just ruined a surprise that you might have found in a year or two?

I love the Aux input on my '07 SE V6, the only problem is that you can't change songs on your iPod with the steering wheel controls or anything, you have to do it via the iPod.

I picked up a 1/8 stereo phone cable from Radio Shack - 9 bucks.

Just don't try charging your IPOD while listening to it.
TERRIBLE feedback....

Can anybody WITHOUT a crappy ass iPod tell me if other mp3 players are working well with the 07 Cam aux input? I hate iPods so I need to know if another type of mp3 player (i.e. Dell DJ, Toshiba, Samsung, etc.) will work just as well.

An auxillary input should work with any digital audio device.

Are you talking about a Resistence noise/sound? I get that with my Sat-Radio. I figured it was because we installed the antenna cable up through the drivers side and the fuse box/whatever is making it Whirr when I accelerate. Very annoying...Now I have to pull it all out and try it on the passenger's side.

Any MP3 Player will do the same, I have tried a Creative ZEN MicroPhoto, and the WMA Audio files sounds even better... IMHO.

What is crappy about an iPod aside from being overpriced for what it is? Ad hominem attack, perhaps?

As someone else has stated, anything with an audio output will work. The Aux input is merely a stereo jack and you can plug any audio signal into (essentially) but your sound quality will be based on the source, and transfer medium (cable/connectors).

If you're getting noise from an apparent ground loop, try an isolator on the audio cable.

Here is one that many on Vwvortex have used:

Something that should have been in cars since the year 2000 and there is no excuse for it not being in all cars now... They are not that expensive for car makers to implement.

Ok...cool! So since I have a 3.5mm male to male cable then I would totally (get rid of it) take that out and purchase one of these with a male to male and hook it up? Use this device instead or add it to my exsisting cable?

EDIT: How rude of me...THANK YOU...this is very helpful!
