Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I got this camry in march, it's an LE w/ the SE grill and I recently put springs on it (lowered it about 1.5 ")
I know must people are thinkin that he put on the SE grille, tinted the windows, and lowered it ...but still the crappy wheels-well I've been waitin 6 weeks for them and didn't know when they were coming so I figured I'd post some pics now and then after I throw them on.
Some of you might remember I had trouble with the first place that tried to put the springs on, but after searching I found a good place and there you go. By the way pardon the car not bein washed.

where's the pics? what brand of springs and where'd u get them?
They're springtech from suspensionmax. I was pretty surprised, I had eibachs on my last camry and the rides a lot nicer with these, but it all depends what you're looking for
thats actually pretty nice looking. is the gen6 camry pretty good underneath? as in the frame etc is tucked under the sides of the car. My gen 4 has a lot of stuff that is lower than the outside door frame areas so i actually have very little clearance over things after getting my car lowered.
Not really feeling the grille. To me--unlike the Gen 5/5.5 Camry--the grilles on the 07s arent interchangeable stylewise. I think that the grilles on the CE/LE/XLE/Hybrid are perfect for those cars and the unique grille on the SE only works on the SE because the bodykit really makes it come together nicely. I love the non-SE grilles but I would never put it on my car because it would look ugly with the bodykit and the overall "sport" theme of the car. But to each its own. I do like that color. My previous Camry was silver.
Klutch- You need a mechanics screw driver(long skinny) and a ton of patients to work the original one out. The plastic that holds the grille clips in is flimsy but you have to. use force to get it out. putting the new one in is not bad at all.
nodrogkam- clearance is not a problem at all
LunarMist- yeah, it's pretty much to each his own cause I had the option of an SE, liked the grille wasn't really feelin the kit...but thanks!

Hehe. I don't think you have to worry about anyone swapping their SE grille for any of the others. Though, I think you'll see quite a few folks doing just like we see here -- swapping an SE grille into any of the other models. And probably a bunch of those folks will wind up with a body kit of some sort, if not the actual Toyota SE parts themselves.
I'm actually quite interested in the Hybrid grill to replace my XLE grille -- body-colored horizontal bars really don't float my boat at all. And if anyone would ever conjure up some kind of Lexus-like "slim vertical chrome bars" grille, I'm sure they could sell every one they could manufacture! At any rate, I think the chrome and whatever color it is Hybrid grille would look excellent on the darker colors like my Blue Ribbon XLE....
