the gen6 looks mightly sweet with the sports kit , but otherwise I'm not a fan of the bulbous look of the car

and 19s are perfect for that car

Better handling, up to a certain point. There's less rubber to flex when going around corners, so cornering is much improved.

There are slight improvements to torque response (also due to less flex) and generally aftermarket wheels are much lighter, which improves torque response and mileage.

I am thinking the mileage will be decrease due to a larger contact patch (better grip, but also more rolling resistance), since most people will also upsize the tire size. However, you are right IF all things were equal (ie. same tire size).

You can get a larger OD without it being a larger contact patch (width).

It might appear that you're getting less MPG, but if your odometer is calibrated correctly, you'd be getting more. Maybe.
