Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Damn, the Camry SE 07 that I ordered at the dealer has a faint crack from left to right. Everything looks fine and the car drives nice. Anyone think its a good idea to refuse it and demand for another Camry SE 07? God knows how that windshield got cracked, maybe it bounced off the loading truck or something?
If you really like it take the chance and have them repair it. Just make sure that the winshield replacement shop that the dealer uses is reliable. Ask for references. Good Luck on whatever you choose to do.
well ya...how long have you had the car?...go to the dealor and see what they say about it!! Say you don't know what happened and such.
if they don't take care of it. Check with your insurance company. many companies offer windshield repair free....ie..you get some to do it, but they charge your insurance company

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.
--Can honestly go to a parts counter and ask for brake shoes for the front brakes.

Oh i didnt pick the car up yet. The dealer said the car was delivered with a cracked windshield. Most likely I'll make them swap it out with another, who knows where that car had been even though it had like 8 miles on it when I test drove it.
oh...lol.. refuse to take it then, until it's fixed or they give you another comparable car

I would take delivery for another car. A friend of mines who works in a body shop once told me a glass repair shop cannot install as good as the factory. Downside you will have to wait a little longer.

well...on those trailers, some times they're up high, even the lower ones.... the big rig in front takes all the hits already. I don't see how road debris or anything coulg get the the cars being transported.
Unless some yok'el who didn't like toyotas drove by and had bubba in the passenger seat toss a rock, I can't really see damgage from a rock during transport

By now you've probably made your decision and its a done deal - BUT - heres my two cents - I'd make them give you another one! Because now is your last chance, they dont have your money yet! And ofcourse as soon as they DO, the game changes, doesnt it - so just get a new one, i'd be pessimistic too about how a brand new car that got a cracked wind sheild.
Maybe it fell off the truck or something and who knows what other problem might come back to haunt you in 10,000 miles - the possible list is long - wheels that wont stay in alignment, bent or cracked subframe that nobody found, another piece of bodyglass starts cracking too - nah, get another.
The last word from me is not to take that car at all whatsoever! If you want, take another one, there is something wrong with the car. If they change the windshield for you, it's still not good. DO NOT TAKE THAT CAR AT ALL!
