Question Question on new wheels for '07 camry

my girl friend just bought herself an '07 blue ribbon camry v6 LE. she's looking for rims. so i found this on the net. this is his/her discription of the product.

For Sale are 4 Brand New VCT V-10 Wheels for the 2007 Camry & Camry HYBRID

They are unique, yet they look like a factory wheels. Factory toyota wheels center caps will fit perfectly in these wheels so that they look like a factory option. The V-10 wheel really makes the car stand out, take a look at the photos below.

I've included photos to show what they look like on the car, and to show how the wheel look when it mounted to the tire, however, this auction is for 4 wheels only (no tires included).

These wheels are new in the box, straight from the manufacture. The wheels are finished in bright silver power coat, and come with the VCT Center Cap, and Valve Stem.

These wheels are 18 X 7.5, with an offset of 42mm, and a 5 X 100 bolt pattern. Absolutely perfect fit for the new 07 Camry's...

I'm a factory direct dealer for VCT, and you absolutely will not find a better price on the wheels anywhere.

he is askin $350 for it. i thought the price is OK. i thought it looks pretty good. nice and simple. does the dimention of the wheels seem pretty good? i have no idea how to read these numbers, other than the rim diameter itself.

here's how you read tire dimensions.

you will see it in a format like this: 215/65/16

215 is the width (in millimeters) of the tire's tread on the ground, from the front to the back. it's sort of like the "footprint" of the tire.

65 is an aspect ratio, which is basically a percentage (65%). the number represents the amount of sidewall on the tire. so basically you take the width (215mm) and multiply it by .65 (for 65%) to get the sidewall, which in my example is 139.75mm of sidewall.

the last number, of course, is the rim size in inches.

Hmm, those don't look bad, but I'd probably prefer more spokes or something. That rim will also make you get a new set of tires too... and a spare...

Have you looked at tirerack?

Also, anyone know if it's possible to get the 16'' stock alloys at a dealership and how much (installation as well...)? I am interested in getting some stock-like rims too....
