Gen6 mp3 folders/titles question (07 base system)

Okay,

So I understand that when I plug my iPod in the AUX, I have to control everything via the iPod and the stereo is just a giant set of headphones.

To have headunit functionality, I burned an mp3 CD with folders and tracks. Each folder has several tracks. All these folders/tracks have titles on the CD when I play it in my computer.

When I play the mp3 CD in the car, it only shows as:

mp3
3-5

where 3 is the folder #, 5 is the track #.

Is there any way we can get the title of the folder & track to show up on the head unit? I remember long time ago reading something about a Yaris where the person had to name all the folders with "Toyota - " or something... but couldn't find this issue in a search.

All help is always greatly appreciated!

I only messed with playing MP3's within folders ONCE.
The disc that I tried had alot of folders and even some sub-folders within those, and I thought it was too much work for listening to music.
Now I just grab a bunch of MP3s and burn them straight (or use my IPOD).
I do like the fact that you can view every bit of text detail which is nice.
Meaning it will show the folder names, all of the track info, artist info, etc.
VERY NICE....
I use Nero to burn my discs if that helps.

You have to hit the "text" button to view names of folders, files, artists, etc..

i hit the "text" button on my cd player and it only shows half of the name of the song. When i hold it down it just shows me the next 2 words and not the rest of the name of the song. is this normal?

aww that sucks. you would think they would be able to have the scrolling text on there for a brand new car.

I agree, especially since the Welcome To Camry text scrolls!
