okay so, i upgrade the battery wire. I have had an extensive sound system, and am still planning to upgrade. My biggest conern was upgrading the BIG 3, i just finsihed lenthening the battery wires. What i have done so far was extend and upgrade the negative and possitive batteyr wire to a directed audio 4 ag wire with gold plated terminals. I upgrade the negative battery ground wire to a 0 guage. My question to anyone who have done this upgrade is how they routed the alternator charge back wire and what guage you used. Oh by the way i will post some pics when as soon as i get my camera back

i did the Big 3 on my car a long time ago...origionally with 2 gauge wire. The best way i found route the ground wires is to run them to exactly where the stock ones went. (Underneath the battery is a screw where the stock 8 gauge wire hooks into....sand away and attach new wire).

Also, The Engine GND to Neg Battery Terminal is also a good wire to upgrade. Remeber to Fuse the Wire that goes from the alternator to the battery.

Oh and if you decide to ground to different places other than the stock ones make sure not to ground to any "Sub-Frames" Such as the metal panel that goes accross the radiator.

Why not? Is it because it is not directly connected? Or is it some deeper, cosmic reason.
