What about getting custom wood trim peices made that match the stock XLE trim?

As far as "custom" goes, your options are endless.

Well that is good to know. Now I just need to figure out how to make the wood trim or find someone to do so.

i was also wondering if someone try to steal the double din. How would they do so? Would they have to take the whole dash apart or could they just pull it out. I gotta figure out how to make my anti stealable!

Maybe it's not a good idea to make a public post on how to steal the double din.

Well, unless they were absolutely willing to risk breaking the unit they just broke into to steal, it would't be easy at all. They'd have to remove the dash, shifter cover, etc. Would take a lot of time to take the unit out without damaging it too badly.

And if they steal an Eclipse unit with ESN activated, they get a heavy paper-weight in the end after all their troubles.

oh okay. I was just wondering if they would have to take apart the whole dash. I am about to install my avn-5500. Hopefully it goes well!
