07 se wheel well

im not sure, but i think its called the wheel well, anyways i was wondering if the rear wheel wells on your camrys have a fuzzy fabric cover instead of a plastic one like the ones found on the front.... there was a se parked not far from me at a parking lot, so i decided to go look, and its the same type of material.... wouldnt dirt lodge onto this fabric-like cover? esp during the winter.... overtime it would start to rot and smell bad wouldnt it??? someone reassure me that its normal.... btw i picked up my camry last tuesday! 07 magnetic grey se i4

Gen6 Why only the back?

I was told it was an insulation to cut down on the noise??? It's really cheap looking stuff. I'm curious on how it holds up under the ice and snow. I guess we'll see.

All '07 Camrys have a nonwoven felt rear fender liner "to minimize grit, water and road noises" per Toyota.

Mine looks ok after 4,800 miles.

the first day i got the car with 1.7 miles on it, i looked over it and saw this in the wheel wells and i was thinking why is that there, i guess it would minimize some noise, doesn't looke dirty at all either yet. we'll see how it holds, hope it will last

No worries guys ! That fabric inner liner has been used on other makes/models for a few years now . It is actually very nice to see the Camry, at it's price points , share a feature such as fabric wheel well with that of cars costing much more .

Acura , Mercedes-Benz , Volvo , Lexus also fabric the wells -- again , nice to see the Lexus detail trickle down to the Camry .

It does keep the wet road driving rear swoosh to a minimum .

A good blast of water keeps it clean -the highways - road ways are normally cleaner than the sidewalks !
