Gen5 Lowering springs v6

Will these lowering springs fit my car or should I get the S. tech made for the v6? Eibachs make it specifically for the gen 5 v6. But i don't like it too much lowered in front cuz i'm afraid of scraping b/c of the hills here. Does the heavier weight of the v6 engine make any difference in the lowering springs? That's my real question.

the V6 would lower more than the I4 if using the same springs, you can check out the S-tech specs and see how it lowers it a bit more in the front.

The H.Tech specs say the front drop is 1.06" and this is based on an I4. So the drop on your V6 should be slightly more than this. Don't know the exact number tho...

I emailed the guy and he said it would lower 1.5 in front and 1 inch in back. But is it ok to use these springs for the v6? I mean should the front springs be stronger or something with the heavier engine hence the S.tech having a v6 version and not the H.tech?

Btw, is the S.tech "better" than the H.tech or is it a preference type thing?

I believe it just depends on how low you want it. S-tech, named so for looks i think (dress up master or something). I have had the S-tech for a while , like 6-7K miles and it's working fine, I don't get many scrapes with it, only on very steep driveways or very huge speed bumps. Wonder when they'll start making better struts for our cars.

Super Kaioken, DROP HER!. Ill give you my word that you wont bottom out or scrape with those 17's??? on it as well. EXCEPT for speed bumps, the chassis seems to sit lower than the frame. but still not a problem when I had my OE 16's on. I have Eibach pro kit. 2.0front/ 1.2 Rear and now am sitting on some 20's. Never rolled my fenders and BARELYYYY rub, UNLESS i take fast turns or have multiple people in the back seat. Once I roll them, then NO worries.

the drop on my front was probably near or a bit more than 2 inches with the s-techs. i checked the tein sight and didnt see a v6 version for the s-techs or h-techs

i know eibach and intrax make V6 versions tho

i had 18's and honestly, i did scrape quite a lot on larger speed bumps, or even going up inclines where they level off at the top. like when going up levels in a parking garage. was even worse when i had passengers in the back seat, i'd scrape on small speed bumps.

Alright i've read through the s.tech and h.tech, the S. tech would lower it more than the H.tech, and more than the eibach. S.tech, eibach, then h.tech in how much it will lower.

I think i'm going with either the eibach or the h.tech

I would like more input from people with springs. or just comments

I would also like some feedback from people with these.

how much does it affect the cushy ride?

i think the H.Techs will give a bit of a softer ride. the S.Techs have a higher spring rate

maybe the eibachs over the htechs for a slightly lower drop? camrys have a pretty big wheel gap to begin with which is why i went with the s.techs

I've got the TRD's which are the rebadged Eibachs. The ride is only slightly stiffer than the stock SE springs since the SE's have a stiffer suspension to start with. I also seem to remember a post somewhere about the SE struts being rebadged KYB's, hence the stiffer suspension on the SE's. I've also added the TRD front strut bar and the TRD rear sway bar and love the way my Camry corners flat now. I do scrape on the really big speed bumps unless I go really slow and on some steep inclines (my driveway) if I do not take it at an angle. I also have the factory body kit so take that into consideration as far as my ground clearance in front goes. The frame still sits a bit lower than the side skirts so no problem there. I have bottomed the frames on big speed bumps when I've gone over them a bit too fast.

The TRD springs are 1.2 front and 1.4 rear for the I4 so figure about 1.4~1.6" front and 1.4" rear on the V6.

Dont worry about rubbing Super Kaioken. Like i said, i now have black chrome 318 rims with a 40mm offset with Nitto 555 245/30/20 series tire. My rear fenders sit closer to the tire than the front and I still DONT rub. Plus I have Eibach pro kit with a 2.0 drop in the front and 1.2 in the rear. I loved the drop with my 16" OE wheels on. With my 20's on, my suspension looks more stock. I dont even wanna imagine my car with 20's and stock suspension. It would look funny sitting really high up.

dayam Homie!!! so is that what your car looks like?! That's friggin bad ass. I love the blacked out rear tail lights and the toyota emblem. It goes smooth with the color of your car. man i've got a 50 mm offset with my IS rims and with 225/50 series tires. and you've got 245! i was thinking about getting a bigger width tire for my car.

Hey camgiant, what's up with the rear brakes? Looks like slotted disc on the left and drilled disc on the right. Pics taken during different times?

Nice car though. Would look outrageous if you could get a factory body kit on it.
