^He has an ES330. They come with factory HID D2R's in HID reflectors.

Exactly. How can HIDs in halogen projectors be better than factory HIDs? Even though they are reflectors, they are HIDs reflectors. That's what I wanted to point out.

Trust me, i've purchased those crappy HID kits for $400+ in the past, and they are CRAP! I paid a total of $80 for osram bulbs & $200 for denso ballasts & they are better, look stock & project MUCH more light!

Just my 2 cents!
did you have to modify the bulbs to fit into the stock housing? if so, i'll stick with a kit... don't have the time to mess with my car since school started.

Yes you have to modify the bulb, but not much, to make it accept D2S burners.
