Gen6 Attention HID installers for v6 camry

Hi,

I remember someone mentioning that they have a write up and pictures of where they placed the ballast for the HID unit. Could that personpost it, including the pictures?

Also can you state which HID kit you got. Thanks.

I am looking for both the low/high beam and fog light HID conversion. Thanks.

Don't put HID in your high beams.
Flicking an HID ballast on and off (like you do with your high beams) will kill it very quickly.

Don't put HID in your fogs.
Putting that many lumens, in optics that can't handle it, that close to the road will absolutely destroy the functionality of fog lights (which are meant for inclement weather). It will glare off wet road surfaces and more importantly FOG! and impair your ability to see.

Just get 3000k bulbs for your fog lights and you'll be fine. No need for HIDs in fogs.

i would also like some pictures of where you guys placed the ballasts and the igniters. I'm installing my 6000k kit soon, but pictures would be a great extra help.

Hi, have you installed your 6000K HID yet? How's the light output? What brand of the HID kit did you get? I have a 2007 V6, and thinking to get a set of 6000K kit as well within this month. I'd appreciate if you can post up some picture to share with us.

Hi, i've got the TSX color modded projectors with denso ballasts with philips 4300K bulbs. In the process of completing my retro i burnt the passenger side headlight housing, basically just melted the mounts on the top and side so just waiting for the new headlight. I'll post some pics for the aiming process when i get the headlight in. I am already loving the color mod on the TSX projectors. F**KING AWESOME. Thanks for all the help mike (Whitechocolate), u rock. As far as the ballasts, I am planning to bolt them on the under side of the black plastic flap under the headlights. Sure to stay dry and safe.

I was going to order a McCulloch kit, but I found another company... Xenon-vision... looks good and everything is waterproof, so that is a plus... and also imported from Korea... so i guess I'm sorta trying to suppory my country =P... like i said, ordering it this weekend... hope it doesn't take long to ship.

Gen6 HIDs in Gen 6 Camry

Hey Everyone - don't waste your money on those bs hid kits. Go on ebay and buy genuine toyota / lexus ballasts & bulbs.

Get Osram 4200k D2S Bulbs & Denso Ballasts

I have these on my 07 XLE V6 & they look awesome - i also have an es330 & it looks EXACTLY like the lexus but better, since it's in a projector.

Trust me, i've purchased those crappy HID kits for $400+ in the past, and they are CRAP! I paid a total of $80 for osram bulbs & $200 for denso ballasts & they are better, look stock & project MUCH more light!

Just my 2 cents!
