The Toyota Owners manual is full of errors and is the same booklet the US gets. In Canada there is no Pressure sensors. Check here for what option we get:
http://www.toyota.ca/NWS/media/pdf/07camry_e.pdf

The owners manual has alot of information that does not pertain to Canadian cars.
I cannot comment on comfort but for snow and ice traction, the thinner the tire the better.

There will be minutely less traction in the switchoff but you'll have a slightly better turning radius.

Hello, sorry to dig up old threads but as Thanksgiving arrive I am starting to think about winter too...

I have a 07 SE which is fitted with 17" tires but I am wondering if I can get away with a set of 16"s for winter

Here's what I have in mind...

Blizzak WS-50 205/65/16 on a set of 16" steelies. ( I know I know... it's not the best look it gets the job done )

As for the size, I went to the webiste previously mentioned to calculate the actual size difference and it looks like there's not much difference between the stock 17" and the propsed witner 16". The stock diameter is 26.3" wide and the winter would be 26.5" wide and the rest of the figures are all quite close together.

As a sidenote, Tiretrends.com in Canada is selling the tires @ $137/each + "New OE Toyota 16* 6.5" steel rims for less than $1000.

I have never bought tires online... any thought on that?

Thank you and happy Turkey day to all fellow Canucks!

15" rims DO NOT FIT !!!!!

Well Guy's

I just tried to put a set of 15" universal steel rims that I used on my 2001 camry on to my new 2007 SE (4 cyl) and they do not fit.

So I have a set of Nokian Hakka 2's on steel rims for sale (205/65R15) if anyone is interested.

My next option is to try 16" and my last option would be 17's

I got a quote from Kal tire for 215/55R17 Nokian Hakka RSI's for 232.53 per tire OUCH!!. Not to mention that i would have to buy new rims as well.

So who has a set of 16" rims that they can try?...

Man it's too bad that 15"s will not fit. Are the brakes too big?

16" gotta fit since other 07 camrys come with 16" wheels.

Brakes

Yeah,

The rims would not clear the brake calipers. I tried them on the rears, did not bother with the fronts.
