5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
When TRD does decide to provide lowering springs for the gen 6 camry (SE MODEL), would the struts and shocks also need to be replaced with aftermarket products? I remember when TRD came out with lowering springs for the gen 5 (SE MODEL) but did not provide reinforced struts or shocks, and someone had mentioned that the SE shocks and struts could handle the drop from the TRD springs. Is this true and would it apply to the gen 6 as well??
TRD springs are known to provide only a mild drop, usually around 1" all around. With such a mild drop, aftermarket shocks/struts are not needed right anyway, but you would prolly want to replace them later on.
i am only considering it because i like how toyota provides the warranty with the vehicle if i use their products. Not only that, I just feel a little better that it is from toyota.. yea i know kind of stupid but thats just me. Thanks for your responses.
