i am planning on buying a 05 camry LE but i like the Se cuz of the sporty look. but i just cannot afford the SE wit the prices they ask for it. So i just want to get the LE and switch the headlights with the SE headlights. Is this possible? And if it is, where can i get it from and how much wud it cost? Thanks alot.

Why?

The SE headlights are the same as the LE except for some subtle black coloring aren't they?

No you are incorrect. You are confusing the Gen 6 with the Gen 5.5. The 05 SE's have a REAL complete black-out sport trim and look waaaaay better than the CE/LE/XLE headlights. But i'm trying to figure why does the original poster think he can't swap out the headlights for the SE one's. Its the same headlight except for the black sport trim.

Gen5

In a gen 5, it is pretty easy to make a LE into an SE. Here lists:

"Stiffer suspention" - Get springs for $200
- TRD RSB for $170
- Strut Bar $175

SE Grille - $100
SE Headlights - $220
Borla muffler - $210
Spoiler- $129
Fog Lights - $60

This is for the gen 5, not sure how the rpices are there but you get the idea. I'm not sure what the price difference is but you might save getting an LE v6 and then upgrading parts. Also, for the gen 5, they don't sell the kit as an aftermarket thing........so if you want a SE kit......you should get it because i'm not sure if you can go back and have them install one. They don't for the gen5

If you can definately afford the SE, I say get it. It would save you the trouble of converting your LE to a SE. If you pick the LE, you might be regretting it later down the road since you are already looking at the SE.
