Gen6 Anyone ran their '07 V6 in the track yet ?

As the title says ... I was wondering to see if anyone one ran their '07 V6 camry in the 1/4 mile track. From I have seen in car magazines it should run mid 14's @ ~100. I would like to see some real world times.

I was going to dyno my car while it's still stock sometime in the future. Then I'm going to dyno each mod I add so I have an idea of the power gains I get from each mod. You should do the same.

Actually, it's like $75 for 3 pulls. I'm not tuning it yet, so it won't be that much.

I wish I was still back in Toronto! Have access to a Dynojet 240C for free! Not to mention a machine shop, full race shop etc. Other than the guys strapping the car down, I do everything else.

Anyhow... I found this link surfing around....

http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...ad.php?t=74372

Granted it's a IS 350 with 303 HP and 277 TQ vs our 268 HP and 248 TQ. The IS 350 is rated on high octane so if we ran the same gas I'm betting we'll gain a few horses. Keep in mind the IS is 50 lbs heavier which is -5HP for that.

Anyhow, notice in the thread his best time to date is 13.53 @ 103.16 mph. Yeah it's rear wheel and launches a little better then us but we should be good for a 14.1-14.5 at about 99-101 MPH depending on the variance in car, weight at the starting line etc. Of course temp, bara, relative humidity and track level in ft. makes a big difference. So if you have good D/A (density altitude) the you'll run quicker and faster. Houston (HRP) in Jan/Feb usually has negative density altitude and the track is sticky has hell! All the NHRA guys usually break records there in practice for the season opener in Pomona. A lot of big super street (10.5 tire) races are around that time too.

One thing I took note to in a RnT article, the author noted our cars felt like it was being held back. Also, the guy with the IS 350 had times quite a bit faster with TC off. This weekend I'm going to disable my TC and see how she launches. The best launches at the track have about 1/2 - 3/4 revolution of spin.

I won't be getting any times soon (Seattle weather) plus the tracks around here won't be any good this time of year (prep.). So in the spring time I'll for sure make it out and see what she does. My brother got a 06 GTO so I may visit the local dyno and track when he does and I'll report back.
