5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I want to stiffen up the suspension on my 2007 Camry Hybrid. I can't lower the car more than 1" due to my steep driveway and speed bumps in my neighborhood. Any suggestions?
Eibach or TRD springs or maybe some OEM SE springs.
Do a search in the forum, there are several post about this..
Nobody has camber adjustments and even if the come up with some, It will be only for the front, because the back doesn't have camber adjustment. I want to get all mi issues resolved with the dealer and I'm planing to modify the back so It can have camber adjustment, and Hopefully some company will come up with coilcovers................
But right now all you have are Eibach, TRD, Tein and Sprint springs...
Yep, I did search before posting but didn't find much. Shox.com sells the Eibach Pro-Kit but I'm reluctant to eat the installation cost of putting on new springs without new struts as I don't think new springs alone will stop the diving the car does. Maybe KYB or Koni will get this car addressed soon?
If you have the tools do the installation yourself. It is a simple install if you have the experience. I would say the hardest part on any suspension job is the interior. DAMN the interior. hehe. Oh and with the eibach kit I think it would stiffen it up enough with the oem struts that it would give you the results you are looking for. That is just my oppinion. Any Tire Kingdom will do install for around 324 with a front end alignment and you could probably find a smaller shop to do it for under 250 with alignment.
If you are going to do the install yourself, definately use air tools. Also, you can rent a spring compressor for cheap from Autozone. Wait till a week after the springs are installed to get an alignment, this will give it time to settle in.
